Today we spent a lovely day at Mt. Rainier. We hiked up a trail from the visitors center to Myrtle Falls and a little beyond to a meadow just starting to wake up from winter.
It was spectacular. The weather was unbelievable, really has been for the whole trip. Warm, sunshine, you couldn't ask for more. The hike felt great, uphill but not too bad. We need to practice for the Camino.
We are getting ready for our last meal here (I am going to make another post to talk about the food, maybe tomorrow). Tomorrow morning we load up and head for home. It's been a great trip, and we are retired so there is no pressing business waiting for us, but we are ready to be home and sleep in our own bed.
Lori, Patrick: thanks for sharing the link to your blog. I'm thrilled to be following along on your adventure and looking forward to the sights and your impressions of the Camino! Best wishes and Buen Camino!
